How many times have you sat in the back of the studio while the engineer worked on getting a sound — it’s about as much fun as watching paint dry. Or you’re tied up at a remote location and wished you could get to a studio. The days of trekking to the studio just to sit and wait are over.

Audio Alchemy virtually brings the mix right to you — wherever you are.

In 2008 when The View took their promos HD they realized they needed to step up their audio game as well. From my studio in Warwick, I mixed promos daily with the producer and editor in NY and the voiceover talent in LA.

In 2010 Lookalike Productions approached me to sound design and mix the seventy-five minute documentary RISE in 5.1 surround for theatrical release. We worked back and forth via ftp until they came to my Warwick studio for a final QC screening. The layback was done in a Dolby Certified room at one of NYC’s top dub-stages with virtually no changes.

Onsite Audio Post

In 2010, when CBS decided to do their first surround broadcast of the Super Bowl they called me back to work onsite. I coordinated with production and technical staff to determine what equipment would be necessary then contacted a vendor to have it all delivered to the stadium lot. I arrived in Miami on Monday, personally configured the studio in a trailer and by Wednesday was mixing.

Online and Onsite

The 2008 13-part series Baseball’s Golden Age for Fox Sports required a unique workflow. On Friday the editor would post the next week’s episode. Over the weekend my assistant would start the dialogue editing from his studio while I worked on music, sound effects and mix from my studio. By Tuesday I’d post a mixed screener and on Wednesday I’d travel into the edit house where we had setup an on-site studio to do a QC screening with the producer.

Pro Tools in a Backpack

When CBS Sports decided to rebrand their image in 2006 they called upon Audio Alchemy to sound design their new graphics package. In order to work in close contact with the producers and the graphic artists I set my laptop up right in the graphics house and worked on a pair of headphones.
